Flexible Internship Opportunities
What's Cooking Weekly is growing quickly and we are adding interns to our team.
Intern: Recipe Writing and Research
You will gain valuable experience in the areas of recipe writing, development and testing. There is also potential to become involved with local culinary groups, with opportunities to attend culinary lectures and functions.
Duties may include:

Entering recipes into a recipe database

Identifying suitable recipes for our service

Testing recipes and suggesting changes to make them more suitable for our clients

Research nutritional information, health benefits and other interesting facts about seasonal ingredients
Requirements:
- A love of cooking (although no formal culinary training is required)
- Enthusiasm for healthy, seasonal and locally grown food
- Experience with planning healthy meals
- Computer proficiency and willingness to learn a new software program
- A working PC with internet access
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Self motivated, team player, and good multi-tasker
- Have transportation available for occasional meetings in San Rafael or travel to culinary events

Intern: Sales and Marketing
We are looking for a Sales and Marketing Intern to help us develop a plan that will help our service get the attention it deserves. This is an ideal position for a stay at home parent, looking to keep his or her job skills sharp. It's also ideal for a college student. We can work with your university to help you get academic credit for your work. Of course, we would also write you a great letter of recommendation!
Your work might include:
- identifying potential customers
- contacting blogs, websites and magazines on our behalf
- helping us with website optimization
You will need to be:
- Reliable
- Motivated
- Creative
- Comfortable with market research and making contact with contacts on our behalf
Once your qualifications have been reviewed, we can discuss the logistics during a telephone or in-person interview, (depending on your location). |
